Halloween is quickly approaching, and while massive celebrations in the Castro are a fading memory, at least one San Francisco organization is trying to keep hope alive in 2009. Fight for your right to party Saturday with Take Back Halloween, an event planned at Ferry Plaza in hopes of resurrecting an outdoor Halloween night event in the city. If you prefer your festivities indoors, you still might see a full moon Thursday at the No Pants Party at Supperclub, where costumes are encouraged and pants are not. The A-listers will be partying it up the next night at Legion of Honor for the Ghoulish Gala, while elecrto demons of the night head to the Cow Palace for the first-ever Subsonic Halloween Spookfest with the Faint, Basement Jaxx and several other acts. There are plenty of other spooky activities to choose from. Visit the SF Station Halloween Guide for a complete listing, and if one of the those events doesn't quench your thirst, act like a vampire and hide from the approaching sun early Sunday morning at Breakfast in Bed or keep it sinful Monday with Original Sin at the new Eve Lounge. Whatever you do, have a bloody-good time!
