The ladies get a little extra attention this week, and rightfully so! If you act quickly you can catch Nancy Pelosi, the San Francisco Democrat who is arguably the most powerful woman in U.S. politics, during her noon visit today to the Hotel Mark Hopkins. Starting Wednesday, San Francisco rolls out the red carpet and celebrates women filmmakers with the 2010 San Francisco International Women's Film Festival. Take the opportunity to celebrate diversity in our community with the 10th Anniversary Cesar E. Chavez Holiday Parade in the Mission and the 2010 Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival in Japantown. There are also plenty of options to let loose on the dance floor. Hip-hop heads can get down to RjD2 or Mixmaster Mike, while Brazil's "techno hero" Gui Boratto and the sixth anniversary party for Evil Breaks top the numerous electronic music events. For those who like to rock, you can't go wrong with We Are Wolves. MGMT is another awesome choice if you can get your hands on a ticket.
