One of San Francisco's greatest treasures is its thriving music scene, and there is no shortage of options this week as the city welcomes a full lineup of musicians for the Treasure Island Music Festival. This year, the festival welcomes LCD Soundsystem, Deadmau5, and other electronic acts on Saturday before the guitars come out Sunday for an indie rock lineup featuring Belle & Sebastian, the National, and more. But don't wait for the weekend to get started, turn up the bass tonight with the multinational sounds of M.I.A.. Join Paul Oakenfold at The Fillmore and reacquaint yourself with Hot Chip. Give your ears a break and tune in to a conversation with Mad Men creator Matthew Weiner or catch the latest in documentary filmmaking at the 9th SF Documentary Festival. Head for the hills and show your Bernal Heights neighbors some love at Fiesta on the Hill.

Question of the Week: What band did Surfer Blood vocalist John Paul Pitts watch under the moonlight in Spain? Find the answer in this week's guide and email it to [email protected] for a chance to win two tickets to the Treasure Island Music Festival.
