Some say that you can find the true character of a city at its open-air markets. We think that's true, especially at the Heart of the City Farmer's Market, which celebrates 30 years this Wednesday. You also don't have to look further than our events calendar to get a look at more of the city's diverse culture. Airfest 2011 Trampolines in the Park brings a family friendly event to Crissy Field while the International Dragon Boat Festival and Floating Films on the Waterfront provide fun options along the bay-also the perfect opportunity to practice for Talk Like a Pirate Day. More than a few dusty boots should be in the house at the Hank Williams Birthday Tribute and Rock Make Street Festival features a lineup heavy on local rockers. Groundbreaking rock critic Ben Fong-Torres shares his unique San Francisco story and Art Explosion Open Studios showcases local talent. It's all here in SF.
