How to Party on a Budget
After a pricey holiday weekend a few budget-friendly events are on the horizon. The Capp Street Project celebrates its 30th birthday tonight with a free party with drinks, dancing and 30 piñatas and Phantogram stops for a free in-store show at Amoeba before its sold-out Fox Theater concert. A free movie marathon pays tribute to Philip Seymour Hoffman and Hidden Cities' free opening reception features a Parkour Demonstration. Mezzanine unveils its new party series House of Mezzanine with Pat Mahoney and Public Works hosts Daniel Bortz. R&B singer Erykah Badu brings her DJ alter-ego DJ Lo Down Loretta Brown to 1015 Folsom and Icons of Funk brings some of the biggest names of the genre to Yoshi's.
