The Bay Area’s 420 Event Guide 2019

What started as a humble 4:20pm after-school smoking session in San Rafael has become a global phenomenon: when it’s April 20 (4/20), stoners everywhere celebrate by getting high. And since it started here, it’s no surprise that 420 in the Bay Area is full of cannabis-friendly performances and events.

Here’s our list of the best events and things to do on Saturday, April 20th, 2019.

 

SAN FRANCISCO EVENTS

Annual 420 Gathering at Hippie Hill
Once again, Hippie Hill (at the eastern end of Golden Gate Park) will serve as the central gathering point for celebrating 4/20 in the Bay Area. Nearly 20,000 people attended the 2018 event, according to official San Francisco Recreation and Park estimates.

Roky Erickson at the Chapel
