Just Announced: Desert Hearts Second ‘City Hearts’ Tour

Fresh off their successful three-year anniversary festival, Desert Hearts hits the road for their second City Hearts tour, titled ‘Winter Is Coming.’ The marathon style dance music crew will take their mantra of “House, Techno, Love” to cities across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.

There will be 13 ‘Winter is Coming’ tour stops, beginning next month in Los Angeles and ending in Seattle, with lots of North American destinations in between. The Desert Hearts crew comes to San Francisco’s Public Works on February 26. For those unable to make the SF date should consider their north Lake Tahoe tour stop one month earlier at The Biltmore Lodge & Casino on January 22. Visit the Desert Hearts’ website for more details on the tour and ticket availability.

Q&A: Desert Hearts Co-Founders Mikey Lion and Marbs Spread House, Techno and Love

Founded in the ideals of Burning Man and sound-tracked by the tones of the underground, the Desert Hearts movement calls upon prolonged musical programming, a wholly curated environment, and a like-minded community of music and art enthusiasts to create their sought-after vibe. In addition to Desert Hearts festivals and City Hearts tours, the crew’s record label Desert Hearts Records has taken the world by storm. The burgeoning imprint represents a digital manifestation of the crew’s ethos by offering free downloads of each and every release. Listen to Desert Hearts Records here.

Mikey Lion, the Desert Hearts co-founder and label boss, has teamed up with scene-veteran Sabo on their Into The Jungle EP for the latest release out on Desert Hearts Records. The collaborative EP is comprised of two original tracks, “Into The Jungle” and “Sally”, with the former featuring deeply swung and groovy melodies paired with tribal drums, while the latter champions a more four-on-the-floor tech house sound, driven by a complex drum pattern.
