Tue Dec 7 - Mon Dec 13
There is no escaping the holidays this week, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. As December gets into full swing, holiday parties are popping up everywhere - and not the kind with stale conversations, fruitcakes, and Secret Santa gifts. Get into the spirit with Not So Silent Night, featuring Smashing Pumpkins and Phoenix. Two Kinds of Stupid celebrates the holidays with K.Flay, and the Blow Up Holiday Ball arrives Saturday. The Black Crowes annual residency at the Fillmore is back this week, and Bassnecter is taking center stage at Fox Theater. Still looking for the perfect gift? Keep it local with the Bazaar Bizzare Holiday Show and the Fluxus Trunk Show, or go international with your tweeps at Wines of Chile Tweetup. And don't get stuck without a plan on New Year's. Make it a night to remember with our New Year's Guide.

Weekly Giveaway: Which artist is DJ Spinna paying tribute to at his upcoming gig at Mezzanine? Find the answer in this week's guide and mail to [email protected] for a chance to win 2 tix to Eclectic Method at the Rickshaw Stop.
