Join us for the opening reception of Queer Conscience 2024 - our 2nd annual group photography exhibition at The Image Flow gallery featuring works by 30 diverse LGBTQIA2+ artists.
The exhibition this year was juried by Steffan Schlarb, Director & Co-Founder of Schlomer Haus Gallery in San Francisco, and Nathan Lomas, Gallery Manager at The Image Flow.
It is a precarious time to be a queer person today, as many forces conspire to limit the ways in which we live and express our very identities.
Despite the seemingly relentless waves of legislation targeting queer and especially transgender individuals in the U.S. and beyond, the world seems to be growing ever more queer. New studies show that nearly 30% of Gen Z adults identify as LGBTQIA2+.
Queer Conscience seeks to push back against these forces and affirm our own truths through the photographic medium. In this juried exhibition set to coincide with Pride month, we asked queer artists to share their truest journeys with us, and join us in celebrating our community with a clear conscience.
Spread the word and invite your friends to join us for an evening of art, community, and celebration! We look forward to seeing you there.
