Fourth of July Pub Crawl & Hot Dog Eating Contest
at Jaxson San Francisco

Looking for a way to fill the hours before the San Francisco fireworks begin? The Fourth of July Pub Crawl offers an afternoon and evening of bars, music, contests, and games in one of the city's best areas for a holiday celebration.
The event takes place on Saturday, July 4, 2026, from 2PM to 10PM. Guests will visit more than 10 participating bars around the Marina, with drink specials and activities available throughout the day.
Your first stop will be:
Rick & Roxy's
2131 Lombard Street
San Francisco, CA 94123
Check-in is available from 2PM until 8PM. After picking up your wristband and event map, you can begin visiting the bars in any order you choose.
Participating locations include Rick & Roxy's, Jaxson, Westwood, Palm House, The Brixton, White Rabbit, The Blue Light, Union Street Ale House, Comet Club, Wizards & Wands, and additional neighborhood bars.
One of the best parts of the crawl is the freedom to make your own plan. Spend more time at a bar with a DJ, stop somewhere for food, or meet another group at a location farther down the route. You are not tied to a tour guide or a strict schedule.
The day will also feature two classic July 4 competitions. The San Francisco Hot Dog Eating Contest will challenge contestants to eat their way to victory while the crowd cheers them on. The Pie Eating Contest will add another messy and funny battle to the event.
Participants can also search for the hidden gnome during the crawl. The Find the Gnome Contest turns the trip between bars into a holiday game and gives groups something extra to look for.
After the pub crawl, the northern waterfront is nearby. Guests can walk toward Marina Green, Fort Mason, or another viewing area to wait for the fireworks.
Bring comfortable shoes, a jacket for the evening, and a group ready to celebrate. San Francisco weather can become cool after sunset, even on the Fourth of July.
