The conversation will be moderated by the artist's son, Rio Yañez, with Cary Cordova, author of The Heart of the Mission: Latino Art and Politics in San Francisco, and Jessica Sabogal, a San Francisco muralixa and printmaker and the creator of a 60-foot mural in honor of López on Folsom Street.
Co-presented by UF's Center for Latinx Studies in the Americas (CELASA) and the Thacher Gallery at USF, in conjunction with Yolanda M. López: Women's Work is Never Done on view through Nov. 12.
Masks are strongly encouraged for this event.
