8pm-10pm with The Jenny Kerr Band & Friends

Swampy original Americana. Authentic SF music, no gimmicks. Songs about dogs. And leavin'. And comin' back again.

Jenny Kerr
Third-gen SF native and Oxford dropout, Jenny Kerr has headlined festivals and clubs the world over. A multi-instrumentalist (finger-style and slide guitar, claw hammer banjo, harmonica, piano), as well as a poetic and passionate songwriter, she is known for foot-stomping live shows and powerful, authentic voice. Together with her band of road-tested rogues, she delivers a seasoned yet spirited sound with forays into swamp rock, straight-up soul, backwater honky tonk, and old-time blues and finely-hewn ballads.

Phil "Philbillie" Milner
Jenny’s producer and longtime guitar player, Phil “Philbillie” Milner, was guitar tech for Bob Weir & Ratdog and traded licks with the likes of Hot Tuna, Los Lobos, Bruce Hornsby's band and The Black Crows in many a backstage and hotel room jam and also worked for Tracy Chapman, Bonnie Raitt, Primus, Graham Nash, and a few other cool players. He also produces and engineers others’ records, including guitar virtuoso, Eric Mcfadden, whose all-acoustic "Devil Moon" album is a number one pick onCDBaby.com.

Mike Anderson:

Mike began his illustrious career as a guitar player at the age of 12. As it goes with many bass players, his first band had too many guitar players and zero bass players, so Mike volunteered. He has been laying down the bottom ever since. In 1997 he formed a band called Big Blue Hearts that recorded a CD on Geffen Records, produced by T-Bone Burnett. Following a European tour and opening for Joe Walsh, The Big Blue Hearts cut some tracks produced by Roy Thomas Baker (of Queen's "Bohemian Rhapsody" fame) before breaking up. Mike has toured Europe and America, opening for Boz Scaggs, Lyle Lovett, Lisa Loeb, Dave Alvin, The Blasters, Robert Earl Keen, and Chris Isaak. In the process he has become quite the expert on backstage cuisine. Currently he enjoys creating innovative bass parts for the Cowlicks and working on projects in his recording studio. He is the Cowlicker most likely to be found wearing Cowboy boots and a ten-gallon hat.
