So? Sue Me! is a 26 century old (!) madcap comedy. Yes, they made fun of lawyers and judges in the fifth century B.C.E.
So? Sue Me! is based on Racine's Les Plaideurs (The Litigants) (1668) -- his only and masterful comedy -- itself inspired by Aristophanes' The Wasps (442 BC), but which feels more like A Night at the Opera (1935) by the Marx Brothers.
All three comedies make fun of the legal profession, of an ultra litigious society, in which judges are obsessed, clueless, and corrupt; the litigants are vindictive, obsessed, and clueless; and the lawyers are clueless and vindictive, but indispensable.
It's madness injected into the judicial establishment, you say?
Well, 442 BC, what did you expect? It's not as if it could happen today...
