The ghost ship fires and the current repressive regime, have inspired me to start a writers group for women. I am a published author and playwright looking for weekly communion with other devoted writers. Each session will begin with a writing exercise. After which we will each have a chance to share our work. I will be acting as facilitator but also a participant. We will meet Wednesday afternoons lasting 2-3 hours depending on the size of the group. Weekly dues of $10 which will go toward off-setting the cost to do a performance salon every 12 weeks. Participants are encouraged but not required to share their work at the Salon.
What is being asked of you:
You take your writing seriously (and playfully!)
You have made a strong commitment to your writing
You are willing to follow the agreed-upon rules of professional critique
You are looking for a supportive, inspirational artists community of like minded writers
