The sky’s the limit in this kite-making workshop with artist and kite-maker Beth Gouldin. Participants will learn about the history and traditions of kite-making and basic kite-flying physics. They will then put those skills into practice in a hands-on workshop for making their own kites from paper and bamboo. Beth will also demonstrate decorative techniques that students will also have the opportunity to use on their hand-made kites. Participants will leave with the knowledge and ability to make and fly kites using every-day materials. The class is designed for participants 18 and older, but no previous kite or art experience is required.
