Influenced by Francoise Hardy and Elliott Smith, her songs are first written on an acoustic guitar, singer-songwriter style. Since her start in 2016, she has electrified fans through her live performances, whether it's an intimate unplugged acoustic set or rocking with a full band. Her powerful vocals soothingly recount the struggles of young love, independence and motherhood.About SocorraSocorra is a singer-songwriter from the San Jose, California. She is a drummer turned guitar player, always trying to find a groove on the guitar beyond the melody. Socorra is a Returned Peace Corps Volunteer from Morocco (2010-2012) where she worked on environmental projects and on using music as a way of connecting and building relationships with her community. In November 2015 she was invited back to Morocco for a two-week tour consisting of 8 shows all around the country. Her love of community and desire to lift the community up has made her an active member of the San Jose music scene and in January 2017 with the help of the community, she released her EP, Break.About Salami Rose Joe LouisSalami Rose Joe Louis is a multi-instrumentalist female producer from California. Drawing influences from jazz, Captain Beefheart, Stereolab, and R. Stevie Moore, she creates a blend of experimental dreamy sounds with jazz influenced vocals and piano. After a couple years of touring as a singer/instrumentalist with other bands such as Joomanji (as Lindsay Olsen), Kan Wakan (as Elle Olsun), and collaborating with groups such as Bizarre Ride (Pharcyde) as Elle Olsun, Dj Numark, Starro, this is her debut tour with her solo project, Salami Rose Joe Louis. After a bandmate gave her an MV8800 a couple years ago, she dove deep into the production world, self recording and mixing both of her albums on the MV, "Son of a Sauce" and "Zlaty Sauce Nephew". Humbled by the greats, she was overjoyed to hear her album "Zlaty Sauce Nephew" made Bandcamp's best 100 albums list this year! Drawing from her studies in planetary sciences, she creates a celestial experience filled with space-inspired sounds and galaxy chords:) Hope you enjoy!About Ellisa SunIn a world where cookie-cutter sounds dominate the musical landscape, Ellisa Sun has forged her own path. Ellisa combines elements of 60s RnB, soul, and bossa nova with an ever-expanding palette of modern textures and explorations of new production techniques. Raised in the city of angels, Ellisa has found a home in Oakland’s creative scene, where comparisons to artists such as Amy Winehouse, Lauryn Hill, and Feist come naturally. This unique blend of influences has earned Ellisa a spot as a top emerging artist by SF Deli, and SF Weekly called her song Unravel “as near to perfect as any song could be” and “damn gorgeous.” Ellisa has been featured live in the Sofar Sounds series, joining the likes of artists such as Leon Bridges, Karen O of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and Bastille.Come and support local music!
