WESTLAKE SHOPPING CENTER TO HOST FUN-FILLED END OF SUMMER ART & MUSIC FESTIVAL

Westlake Shopping Center, an outdoor lifestyle shopping center in Daly City, California (https://westlake.shopkimco.com), will host a fun-filled End of Summer Art & Music Festival on Saturday, August 2nd, from noon to 4 p.m. on Main Street (between Burlington and Home Depot). This family-friendly event will feature a wide variety of activities for children and adults. Throughout the event, Rebel The Bay, the Bay area's premier rock and pop band, will treat guests to '80s, '90s and contemporary pop and alternative hit music. An array of local artists will share their talents, which include interactive chalk murals, live painting on canvas, caricatures, and mini canvas art projects for guests. Guests will be invited to help create a community art project featuring foods of the world. And attendees will enjoy traditional Chinese dance, Mexican dance, and Mexican musical performances. A calligrapher will personalize pencil cases for kids as a back-to-school gift (while supplies last). And children will enjoy creating their own works of art in the Kids Chalk Zone and learning how to create clay art in a workshop led by a local ball and coil artist.
