VIKEN ARMAN BIO:
Viken Arman, along with a generation of like-minded artists, is pushing the boundaries of electronic music not only towards the future, but also towards the past.
Fusing ancient melodies with electronic beats to create magical vibes that go beyond dance music brings rich cultures together in mystical musical journeys. Growing up with Jazz and classical music, he draws influence from a very versatile music background from Keith Jarett, Erik Satie, Bill Evans, Jay Dilla, Ricardo Villalobos to the Arabic diva Oum Khalthoum.
CARLITA BIO:
Born and raised in the city of Istanbul, Carla Frayman aka 'Carlita' is a DJ and producer on the rise, who is mixing and producing diverse sounds and rhythms from cultures across the world. If you asked her what type of genre she produces and DJ's within world music, she would have a tough time describing it since she gathers and creates music from all corners of planet earth. She draws on downtempo and electronic middle eastern music to Afro-beat and obscure Latin music genres like electro-cumbia. Blending these different cultures of music together, she creates a globally sonic journey for the listener.
LOLA VILLA BIO:
Lola Villa (Bogotá, Colombia, 1988) is an intersectional artist and activist exploring different aspects of the human experience through sound and visuals. She's an electronic music composer and DJ. When playing, she invokes landscapes, animals and rituals of her homeland, Colombia, along many places she's lived in.
As a producer and a true 80s child, Lola composes hypnotizing rhythms with folkloric and synth elements. Her biggest sources of inspiration are big cities as well as the Amazon rainforest--at both edges of the spectrum, she finds a whole plethora of sounds and vibrations as well as a sense of community and synergy. She's a vivid advocate of radical inclusion and environmental responsibility in the music industry. Lola an active member of DJs for Climate Action. Her philosophy: dance music needs disruption, it needs poetry, it needs people who cannot afford it. It needs community, riot girls and cranky queers. Lola currently lives in Mexico City with her dog Aya.
