TIDES is a multi-media project with live musical performance, conceived by media artist Ian Winters, exploring the rapidly changing tidelands of San Francisco Bay. Based on the rhythms of the tides and city, TIDES explores the intersection between video, contemporary music and performance, and includes new music created by composers Brian Baumbusch and Wayne Vitale along with video by Winters. The eclectic music of TIDES features acoustic and electronic elements and is performed live by members of Lightbulb Ensemble and guest players including McKenzie Camp (vibraphone), Jennifer Ellis (harp), Otis Harriel (violin), Matt Ingalls (clarinet), and Margaret Halbig (piano).
