This time of year is generally characterized by warm hues of orange, yellow and brown as fall takes hold and leads us to winter, but this month is also all about pink. People everywhere are embracing the color in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Beats for Boobs at 111 Minna offers a twist on the subject with "Green is the new Pink," a night of live art, good eats and music organized to raise money and awareness about environmental toxins and their contribution to the disease. Albeit a bit more provocative, breasts will also be a likely topic on Tuesday when Ghostface Killah takes the stage at Slim's to promote his new relationship-themed album. And, of course, there is always plenty of cleavage when the festivities surrounding the Exotic Erotic Ball climax Saturday night. If you're in the mood for more wholesome fun, you can keep the charitable spirit alive that night with Neil Young's annual Bridge School Benefit or start the day with Babes & Babies, a showcase of clothes and accessories for moms and moms-to-be. Finish the weekend off with a nighttime story at 1001 Fabulous Nights, a three-act multimedia fashion adventure at Brava Theater.
