The Tractor Beams have been on hiatus the last few years to give frontman Rich Ajlouny time to focus on his real passion: growing a luscious beard and my dad's hair from the '70s. This task now complete, the San Jose psychedelic rock band has begun recording new music and are holding their (re)debut show at the Back Bar. The band's older stuff ranges from harmony-laden Beatles-esque psychedelia to Flaming Lips weirdness to Bowie sci-fi theatrics, and their one new song released so far, "Post Apocalyptic Love Song," looks headed in the same direction.
