The Heroine: The Heroine is Southern fried rock and roll with plenty of attitude, style, and riffs to go around! Yelling and singing about hardworking men, gambling, and burning it all down is singer Lynwood Presley King (if that is your real name!). He combines a little AC/DC bravado and old school soul, with a modern, almost metal-core approach -- at times adding slightly guttural intonations to his swaggering working man vocals. Think Foo Fighters meets a group of Texas contractors by day, rock stars by night -- most of The Heroine are contractors, with a mechanic in tow. This is a five piece that isn't afraid to mine the depths of classic rock, or to have stage names like "The Kid" and Johnny Lightning. They balance an old school approach with modern music by incorporating a little bit of every decade, all so their audience can rock out. The music is powerful, a tornado of riffs, pounding drums, perfect backing "woos," and all around hard rock. Sweat will pour as the band works the crowd, shaking long hair and beards while turning out loud, fast, rock and roll. Smiles never seem to leave the band members' faces -- these are guys who love what they do, even if it means a relentless schedule filled with long rockstar nights and hard workin' days. Get ready to experience The Heroine, even if it means head banging through an entire set.
