The Groundlings: 50th Anniversary All-Star Improv Show and Panel 2024

SEE EVENT DETAILS
For the last fifty years, The Groundlings improvisation and sketch comedy theatre has been teaching students and delighting audiences from its foundation in Los Angeles and far beyond. Initially founded by San Francisco's own "The Committee" member Gary Austin, The Groundlings have become universally recognized as a talent pool from which many directors, producers, television series and movies have discovered and fostered some of Hollywood's most beloved comedic performers.

To celebrate this iconic institution's half-century landmark, SF Sketchfest is honored to present an improv show and panel featuring Groundlings alumni spanning across decades-- from founding members all the way up to present-day current Main Company. Watch this incredibly talented group play together, then discuss how they came to join the acclaimed community, and what it's meant to them.

With David Crabb, Ana Gasteyer, Michael Hitchcock, Phil LaMarr, Laraine Newman, Oscar Nuñez, Mindy Sterling, and Julia Sweeney.
