Axel Willner, aka The Field, returns to SF for a very rare, live solo ambient performance. Using an array of analog equipment, coupled with video, Axel will perform a completely immersive sensory experience, unburdened by stylistic boundaries or functional responsibility, intuition becomes the only guide. the show will be accompanied by a visual set, created by photographer and artist Sonia Alvarez. A long term collaborator with Axel (you will find her images in all his album sleeves), the pair have been exploring and developing the relationship between their work to greater depths.
