The Ferry Building and Creativity Explored Host Holiday Art Pop-Up Shop Celebrating Local Artists

Each Saturday from November 27 through December 18, join Creativity Explored, a local studio-based collective that partners with developmentally disabled artists, from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm at its Ferry Building storefront in the Arcade across from Far West Funghi for a day of shopping, art activities, and contests. Visitors are invited to explore and shop original drawings, paintings, prints, ceramics, tapestries, and one-of-a-kind fashions created by CE artists - plus, stock up on gift-giving essentials with CE wrapping paper, greetings cards, artful accessories, books, stationery, art supplies and more. As always, artists earn income directly from each sale! As part of the pop-up, the Creativity Explored community will host a series of experiences in partnership with the Ferry Building during operating hours:
o During opening day on November 27, celebrate Small Business Saturday with a special scavenger hunt where visitors can discover artwork by CE artists hidden throughout the Marketplace. Participants will be entered to win art supplies, CE products and Ferry Building goodies.
o Every Saturday, get to know a different CE artist and their artwork during casual Meet-and-Greet events.
o Throughout December, the CE Holiday Art Pop-up Shop will feature an art-making activity led by the Museum of Craft and Design. The activities are inspired by the Mode Brut fashion exhibit - on view through January 22, 2022 - which features original garments and fiber art by Creativity Explored artists created with local designers
o Every week Creativity Explored will host a free contest at the pop-up shop featuring art supplies by Sakura, SF Icons Burnt Caramel Truffles chocolates from Recchiuti Confections, and limited-edition CE products.
