Tedeschi Trucks Band

SEE EVENT DETAILS
with Nicki Bluhm & The Gramblers

"Freedom is another word," so the song went back in an easier and less costly time, "for nothing left to lose." Freedom the kind that Tedeschi Trucks Band has created for themselves since their inception in 2010 - has come at a much higher price and required a deeper sense of dedication. It's the kind of freedom that has allowed them to keep a band that has grown to more than a dozen musicians and crew on the road for five years, garnering an ever-increasing international audience, while developing a musical identity that has yielded original, award-winning recordings.

--------

The Tedeschi Trucks Band, formerly known as the Derek Trucks & Susan Tedeschi Band, is led by husband-and-wife musicians Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi, and primarily features members from their respective solo groups. Founded in 2010, the original intent was form a new group that let the married couple spend more time together while touring and recording. Their first album together, Revelator, was released in 2011 and won a Grammy Award for Best Blues Album at the 54th Grammy Awards, solidifying their reputation as the most formidable husband/wife team in the history of southern rock and blues music.

--------

Tedeschi Trucks Band has already released three critically-acclaimed and commercially successful albums.

Tedeschi Trucks Band is Derek Trucks (Guitar), Susan Tedeschi (Guitar, Vocals), Kofi Burbridge (Keyboards, Flute), Tyler Greenwell (Drums), J.J. Johnson (Drums), Mike Mattison (Vocals), Mark Rivers (Vocals), Kebbi Williams (Saxophone), Maurice Brown (Trumpet), Saunders Sermons (Trombone, Vocals) and Tim Lefebvre (Bass).

Easily capable of shining as individuals, this ensemble of eleven is concerned more with the sound than the spotlight. Sharing a level of respect and camaraderie rarely found in rock and roll, Tedeschi Trucks Band has found a magical combination that delivers nightly an unforgettable evening of music, one the Boston Herald says, “booms like a soul thunderclap.”
