Many years in the making, The Morris is the restaurant its founder Paul Einbund has always revered - the modest, unpretentious bistro where you can eat and drink at world-class level. The emphasis here is ever on flavor, from chef Gavin Schmidt's straightforward, pure cuisine to the unique collection of wines and spirits amassed by Einbund, a well-known sommelier, over decades of world travels. Yet at its heart, The Morris, named after Einbund's late father, aspires mostly to be a warm neighborhood restaurant which will find and nourish its own community.

The discreet yet excellent Mission spot has only been open less than a year, and prime time reservations are hard to come by. Similarly, their weekday oyster happy hour is often very busy. Make the most of San Francisco's quietest week and book a table on a weekend night, then dive into charcuterie board heaven, devour the off-the-menu hamburger and enjoy a cocktail or two in perfect tranquility. -https://www.sfstation.com/2017/08/18/7-san-francisco-restaurants-to-finally-try-while-everyones-at-burning-man/
