Under the artistic leadership of Music Director and Conductor Yair Samet, the San Jose Youth Symphony will perform Sibelius's "Finlandia"; Grieg's "Norwegian Dances, No. 1"; Bernstein's "On The Town"; and the orchestral showpiece, Borodin's "Polovtsian Dances from Prince Igor." This concert will also showcase the talents of the winners from the 2013 Young Artists' Competition: Daniel Charif, flutist, performing Mozart's "Flute Concerto No. 1 in G Major"; and Robert Collar, clarinetist, performing Artie Shaw's "Concerto for Clarinet in B-Flat Major."
