Born into jazz royalty, Roger Glenn is the son of Tyree Glenn (who played with Cab Calloway, Duke Ellington, and Louis Armstrong). Roger had an education in jazz that featured greats such as Wynton Kelly, Joe Jones, and Slam Stewart. Some of Roger’s earliest teachers were Julius Baker, Alberto Socarras, Garvin Bushell, and his father. Roger’s mother introduced him to Latin musicians such as José Fajardo, Johnny Pacheco, Eddie & Charlie Palmieri, and Celia Cruz.
