Barbara Wahli wants to make the South Bay a music destination. That’s why she founded the San Jose chapter of Balanced Breakfast, which brings together music industry professionals to share ideas. But Wahli isn’t just about business. Last month, she convinced 28 Balanced Breakfast regulars to be randomly broken into seven bands of four. It doesn’t matter if everyone in the group is a drummer (or if they don’t even play an instrument). The quartets have spent the last month working up 10 minutes of original material to perform in front of a live audience.
