Pop-Ups on the Plaza: Celebrating BIPOC Women Makers

SEE EVENT DETAILS
This Women's History Month, celebrate Bay Area BIPOC women makers with a day of delicious food, crafts, and community at the Embarcadero Ferry Terminal Plaza (south of the Ferry Building) and Ferry Plaza Farmers Market.

From Soul-fusion cuisine and Creole confections to handcrafted tamales and dumplings, this spring edition of Pop-Ups on the Plaza will feature 15 BIPOC food makers and designers, including clothes, accessories, and body care from creators at the Fillmore-based Black-led marketplace In the Black.

Enjoy cooking demos at the Foodwise Classroom, family-friendly activities, music, and more. Entry is free and open to the public, and food and drinks will be available for purchase.

Pop-Ups on the Plaza is an initiative of Foodwise's Building Equity program. Foodwise and our community partners, En2action's Ujamaa Kitchen, In The Black, Mandela Partners, and Oakland Bloom, are proudly committed to uplifting and advancing equity for BIPOC, immigrant, and limited-resource entrepreneurs across the Bay Area.
