Born Gabriel Mora Quintero in Bayamon, a suburb of San Juan, Mora began playing the flute at the age of six and learned piano soon after. He went to a Montessori school that emphasized the arts, and later ended up studying business administration at the University of Puerto Rico. But the pull of music was too strong, and Mora ended up dropping out of business school. In 2018, Mora signed to Rimas Music, an indie record label that also includes Bad Bunny on its roster.
Mora released his debut album Primer Día de Clases in 2021, and a remixed version of the single "Volando" featuring Bad Bunny and Sech became a hit. Mora once again collaborated with a slew of guests including Elena Rose, Feid and Jhayco on his 2022 sophomore album, Microdosis. The prolific artist put out another full-length record later that year titled PARAÍSO, cementing his status as a rising star of reggaeton and an in-demand producer and collaborator. He will head out on tour in 2023, performing concerts in the United States, Europe, and beyond.
