Makers Market organized by The CCSC Art Gallery is a semi-annual pop-up art fair that celebrates the value of hand-made objects, through the heart of tactile commerce reopening the marketplace floor to both the novice and seasoned 'professional' alike. All vendors upstairs in the Cesar Chavez Student Center are SF State students, alumni, faculty, or staff. Booths will be spread throughout the Art Gallery, and surrounding lounge areas of the 3rd floor Terrace Level, transforming the space into a miniature holiday fair alongside the historic Associated Students' Crafts Fair downstairs on the Plaza level. This single day event will host live music, literary readings, libations, tasty treats, and art stations for you to make your own DIY gifts. Maker's Market empowers artists to shape their own economy engaging both the university and local community in appreciation of do-it-yourself art during a season of gift-giving. By supporting these local, micro-businesses, small enterprises, and independent artists you join us in actualizing philanthropic commerce that actively assists in creating a just and economically sustainable world. Buy local, make art, and feel good.
Art Workstations: Button making, mini-book binding, hand-made gift wrap and cards, snow globes, and felt java jackets. Don't forget to stop by our free photo booth. Art workstations are open throughout the event.
Make your own hand-crafted items? If you are interested in participating we have full and half tables available. Email us at
