What is Fête de la Musique ?
It's a music celebration taking place on 21 June, every year !
This concept of an all-day musical celebration on the days of the solstice, was originated by the French Minister of Culture, Jack Lang. The first event took place in Paris in 1982. Ever since, the festival has become an international phenomenon, celebrated on the same day in more than 120 countries !
