Hailing from Estonia (and currently residing in San Jose), electronic artist Jeremy Macachor, under the moniker Macajey, creates lush, multi-textured beats that conjure a spacey, dream-like mood. On his recordings he mixes live guitars and keys with drum machines and the standard electronic loops. His sister, Ashley Macachor, occasionally lends her smooth R&B soprano to this surreal-electro project. As a live performer, Macajey flies solo, equipped with only a loop machine and a projector full of visual backdrops. (Amulya Datla)
