BEAUTY AND THE BREAST
One-of-a-Kind Benefit Concert and Live Auction

SF Bay Area, CA –On Saturday, June 10, 2017, Notes4Hope presents a beautiful pairing of music and art at the elegant San Francisco Conservatory of Music (“SFCM”), all for a great cause. Armed with a grand piano, violin, guitars and Tom Luce’s golden voice, LUCE Band will headline a rare acoustic performance featuring their best music.
The crown jewel of the night will be Allison McCrady’s original painting (created as the cover art for CD4Hope 2016), to be auctioned with two other unique experiences to raise funds for breast cancer prevention.

“The joy of music and the expression of art have long been vehicles of inspiration and motivation. Using the power of sight and sound we continue to build bridges between our communities, breast cancer and prevention. Together, through art, we raise awareness for stopping this disease before it starts.” – Jeanne Rizzo, President & CEO of Breast Cancer Prevention Partners.

Patrons arrive at 6:00 pm to enjoy a reception with SFCM students playing classical guitars from the Harris Guitar Foundation’s world-class collection (on display), complimentary Spanish Tapas (organic, GMO-free), and no-host wine and beer bar. Immediately following the reception, the 125 VIPS will experience the acoustic concert and auction in an intimate recital room at SFCM.

About the Artist, Allison McCrady (AMFA): Allison McCrady is an award-winning bold expressionist and native San Franciscan, growing up surrounded by art and the beauty of the Northern California terrain. McCrady has studied under Pam Glover, Van Waldron, Tom Nichols, and Jerold Turner. Her work is in hundreds of collections and many public art exhibits, including her own gallery in Orinda, Theatre Square, Allison McCrady Fine Art (AMFA). AMFA showcases artwork by many local artists.

About CD4Hope 2016: Funded by a generous group of individual and corporate donors, CD4Hope 2016 is a compilation of all-original songs by Bay Area singer songwriters, with a message of hope and inspiration. These musician’s compassion, generosity and talent are a true blessing to Notes4Hope and the community fighting breast cancer. The original cover art by Allison McCrady is a 4.5’ by 4.5’ canvas painting that inspires the inner musician and artist in all of us.

About the Harris Guitar Foundation (HGF): HGF is a 501(c)3 charity founded by L. John Harris with a mission to promote the classical guitar in the Bay Area and beyond. This mission is expressed, most concretely, through the foundation’s support for the guitar program at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. By making the Harris Guitar Collection available to students, faculty and guests for research, performance and recording, the foundation seeks to make the living legacy of the “Spanish” guitar and its special sound available to students launching careers devoted to the guitar and to the professionals who teach them.

About LUCE: Founded in 2000 by lead singer Tom Luce, LUCE is San Francisco based band who are best known for their California Music Award for Outstanding Debut single “Good Day”, which continues to be a favorite on KFOG and other streaming music providers. Luce’s debut self-titled album met with great success, and second release in 2005, Never Ending, had the single, “Buy A Dog” as the most played song on at least 13 radio stations, including KFOG and WRLT in Nashville. Luce released “The Year We’ll Have” in 2010, and their most recent studio album is “Fall to Fly” was released in 2013.
Acoustic LUCE will consist of:
• Tom Luce (vocals, guitar)
• Adam Rossi (vocals, keyboard)
• Dylan Brock (guitar, mandolin, banjo)
• Dick Bright (violin)
