GRAY/V presents a night of audiovisual collaborations by Bay Area multimedia artists. The night spotlights a performance by live experimental electronic musician Salami Rose Joe Louis (Brainfeeder) and multimedia artist Paula Morales (Fern & Whale). Paula Morales will be displaying her unique video synthesis looping on multiple projectors, with synchronized rhythmical improvisation to Salami Rose Joe Louis' cerebral, dreamy fusions.
The night kicks off with a performance between Oakland's Secret Sidewalk (Primal Dap Sound) accompanied by modular analog visuals from Dr. Rek. Secret Sidewalk's music features unorthodox instrumentation: saxophone, turntables, synthesizers and drums, all modulated live with effects to create a sound that is both lush and gritty. Dr. Rek will be using audio-reactive modular video gear, analog video feedback, and video mixing and effects to create eye-melting visuals on the spot.
GRAY/V is a spotlight of Bay Area audiovisual artists hosted by Gray Area.
All ticket sale profit goes directly to the artists.
