LMJ and Friends is starting a monthly residency at the freshly revamped Starline Social Club in Oakland, CA. No stranger to the Oakland music scene, for the past 14 months, LMJ has hosted a free monthly show on the 4th Saturday of the month at Cafe Van Kleef that kept the house filled to capacity, and a line out the door.
LMJ’s musical style ranges from bluesy outlaw country to hippie stoner soul. Her latest EP features two duets with Lukas Nelson, from the band Lukas Nelson and Promise of the Real. LMJ’s band members rotate but usual suspects include ex-Third Eye Blind bassist Arion Salazar, who has been in the band since 2012, Phil Devencenzi on electric guitar, Gordon Allen on Fiddle, Javier Torres or John Morales on drums.
The show will feature a pop up photo gallery by Elle Aime Photography and kicks off at 9pm on Saturday, March 5th at Starline Social Club at 2236 Martin Luther King Blvd. Oakland, Ca. No Cover.
