SF-based Kate Webber (@katewebber) was (and still is) an award-winning still photographer, yet with a single project transitioned into an award-winning feature-length filmmaker. KIM SWIMS documents the attempt by renowned marathon swimmer Kim Chambers to swim the world's hardest stretch of open water—30 miles of frigid shark-infested brine off the SF coastline. The film was funded on Kickstarter in Oct. 2015 and selected by festivals across the US.
We welcome Kate to the Peak Design Flagship, where she'll share clips from her film, discuss her transition to filmmaking, and give advice to others looking to Kickstart their creative endeavors. Come to find best practices, inspiration, and likeminded folks. And beer.
