It's a Woman's World : Benefit for Women Crush Music

SEE EVENT DETAILS
The showcase will take place on Friday, December 7th at The Independent. The lineup is stacked with local women artists including Pamela Parker, The ONYX, Sit Kitty Sit, Melissa Jones & No Lovely Thing, Trixie & The MudLords, Amy Unauthorized, The Wyatt Act and Jules Indelicato.

#WomenCrush Music’s mission is to connect, educate, and inspire rising women songwriters through showcases and workshops, in a way that is inexpensive and accessible to the community. The organization and the Bay Area Chapter re-launched almost a year ago, and since then has been making waves through the San Francisco community. When offered a chance to throw a benefit concert to help raise money for the organization, Chapter Leader Krystal Beasley jumped at the opportunity, saying:

“I love to collaborate and connect with like-minded people to help spotlight all of the amazing talent we have in the Bay and to provide opportunities for upcoming artists. And as this comes at the end of our crowdfunding campaign, it will be a great way for us to add to the proceeds going towards our 501c3 application and startup costs so we can continue to host showcases and workshops that highlight women in the industry--in the Bay Area and beyond.”
