This year marks the 50th anniversary of the summer that changed the world, 1967! Italian Street Painting Marin is excited to celebrate this far-out occasion through the captivating art of street painting and music June 24-25 with Summer of Love: An Art & Music Experience!
Event Hours:
Saturday, June 24, 2017: 10:00am to 8:00pm
Sunday, June 25, 2017: 10:00am to 6:00pm
Admission Details:
Children ages 12 and under: FREE!
Adult 1-Day Ticket: $10.00
Adult 2-Day Ticket: $15.00
Flower Children’s Avenue & Adult Admission: $15.00 – Purchase one Flower Children’s Avenue Square and receive 50% off one Adult, 1-Day Ticket
The Art
Over 100 renowned Madonnari (street painters) from the United States, Canada and Mexico will come together over art – transforming the streets into an awe-inspiring quilt of talent, color, and local history.
Journeying back to the era of peace and love, much of this year’s artwork will pay homage to the Summer of Love theme and focus on the cultural revolution that started in the San Francisco Bay Area, changing art, music, and the direction of the country forever.
Lending even more of a psychedelic-flair to the event, attendees will have the chance to meet legendary artist Stanley Mouse and view an exhibition of his iconic Rock and Roll posters.
The inspiring artwork created by the winners of EveryLife Foundation for Rare Diseases’ Rare Artist contest will be on display in the Rare Artist Gallery.
The Music
The songs from the summer of 1967 are some of the most iconic and influential in the history of music, and you can hear them live at Italian Street Painting Marin’s event! To get attendees groovin’ top musical hits from the era will be performed Saturday and Sunday on the main stage from very talented musicians from across the state. Don’t forget to bring your dancing shoes!

Moonlight Rodeo – Noon to 1:00pm
Otilia Donaire – 1:15pm to 2:45pm
San Francisco Airship – 3:00pm to 4:00pm
Aquarius – 5:30pm to 6:30pm & 7:00pm to 8:00pm
SUNDAY
Shakey Zimmerman – 11:00am to 1:00pm
Ruckatan Latin Tribe – 1:15pm to 3:15pm
Aquarius – 3:30pm to 4:30pm & 5:00pm to 6:00pm
The final music performance schedule is subject to change.
Bring the Kids!
The youngest of art fans, aged 2-12 will enjoy “Flower” Children’s Avenue where they can design their own 2’ x 2’ street painting, and receive a box of chalk pastels to take home. (Fee $10.)
All of those young at heart will enjoy beloved beagle, Snoopy, who will be onsite to mingle, hand out ISPM love beads and take photos. Receive a special bookmark to share your special Summer of Love: An Art and Music Experience memories on social media!
