Inside Out: How your inner world affects your ability to heal

SEE EVENT DETAILS
at American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (see times)
November 21st & 28th 12:30 - 2:30 (**Please note this is a two Tuesday class)
*General: $40
*ACTCM students: $20 (subsidized by Student Council)
Introduction:
As healers we understand that needles and herbs are just carriers, but when combined with an intention they become much more effective. Come on a journey of exploration and see how to use meditation and mindfulness as a practical tool to hone the healing intention and resource deeply.
Many practitioners, who have gone through the difficult and rewarding process of learning the science and structure of healing and illness, believe that they understand an illness when they know the symptoms and physical causes. However, health starts in the mind, and mental and emotional influence is often overlooked influence on physical health. How can someone who does not understand their own psychosomatic connections be a guide to others? A healer, in the best sense, is a guide through the pitfalls of imbalance and disease to the promised land of harmony and health.
Objective:
This workshop will teach student clinicians, as well as experienced practitioners, a deeper level of healing intention, self resourcing, and conscientious patient interaction through meditation and mindfulness.
Instructor:
Amira Suliman is the founder of the nonprofit Compassion Project SF and is an expert in meditation and healing traditions from around the world.  She has dedicated her life to selfless service and teaching meditation with over a decade of teaching and coaching experience in the field of personal growth and trauma release.
This workshop is brought to you by the American College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ACTCM) Student Council. The classes are subsidized for a discounted rate for students, but made available to everyone.
**Please note this is a two series class (dates noted above) held on subsequent Tuesdays. Buying a ticket is for both classes in the series. No partial payment for partial classes please.
