Host Bodies with HABITAAT and Tristan de Liège

Host Bodies
https://www.hostbodies.com

Host Bodies is a live electronic duo based in San Francisco. Their sound often defies genre - to the delight of live audiences and dedicated headphone listeners. Think: guitar solos over dance music, rap vocals over lush beats, harmonic synths over groovy bass loops - high energy, big emotion, and raw creativity.

Since forming Host Bodies in 2013, founders James Collector and Nick Hess have been performing around the Bay Area and releasing original songs and remixes. Their debut LP "Daily Apparatus" offers a full-spectrum experience of the duo's tastes and talents. Their follow-up EP "Diamondfruit" focuses on melodic instrumentals engineered to calm and center the listener.

A series of singles set for release in 2022-23 promises to expand the Host Bodies universe in all directions: higher vibes, deeper soul, and wider horizons - stay tuned.

HABITAAT
https://habitaatmusic.com

HABITAAT (Tomas Wischerath) is a multifaceted DJ composer that uses a creative mixture of natural sounds, hyphy melodies, and euphoric dance beats to bridge the gap between the natural world and electronic dance music. Brazil-born and Bay Area raised, HABITAAT's unique production is influenced by Hip-Hop, cinematic movie scores, and underground club music, with the aim to make you feel like you are surrounded by nature.

A rising star in the world of indie electronic, HABITAAT has opened for artists like Bonobo, Clozee, Duke Dumont, and Whethan. With a unique fusion of earthy melodic storytelling and a vast range of rhythms and instruments from around the globe, HABITAAT creates an unforgettable experience that can be enjoyed in the club, on a beach, or in any elevated state of mind.

Tristan de Liège
https://www.tristandeliege.com

Tristan de Liège is an electronic/downtempo artist based in Los Angeles, California. He writes and produces under several monikers, including Thoma (duo with Benjamin Hill) and Tethys (post-classical experiments with a changing cast of string musicians). He's also contributed ambient music to the independent game Faeria. He has released three albums (two as Thoma) on Emancipator's Loci Records: The Diver (2016), Thoma (2017), and Salt Spring (2019).

Tristan has completed 8 solo albums: Usawa, Maisha, Kosame, The Diver, Everything We Are, Tamalpais, Into the Bloom, and Frontiers, each with their own feel, inspirations, and cast of guest musicians. He also has two albums as Tethys, I and II, as well as a string quartet tribute to II.

The neoclassical experiments that Tristan explored with his Tethys project have continued into 2021 with a collaborative album with violinist Gregory Allison, entitled A Light for Dark Moments on Gregory's newly created Holy Volcano label.

Thoma returned with new material in late 2021, the album Ikiru that showcases playful and cinematic strings and woodwinds arrangements.
