Happy Hour Spa and Beauty Treatments in San Francisco

A trip to the spa or the beauty salon used to be a well-planned, carefully executed project. Recently, however, more and more local spots offer a fresh take for girls and guys on the go with happy hour spa and beauty treatments.

Options range from fast and fancy spa therapy to extended lunch sessions designed for team-building among co-workers.

Mandarin Oriental Hotel and Spa
222 SANSOME STREET
The downtown hotel recently launched a new Happy Hour menu. The treatments—a manicure and pedicure, a relaxing facial, a back and neck massage or a foot treatment—are all under the 45 minutes mark and less than $150. Plus, a cocktail is included in the price

Drybar
1908 FILLMORE STREET
With two central locations and nothing but blow-dries and fast hair treatments, the Dry Bar franchise hails from L.A and offers a variety of $40 options, varying on volume and length. Walk-ins—as in “on my way to the party”–are welcomed and the atmosphere, backed by perky music and cocktails, is perpetual a happy hour.

Pure Organic Spa
518 SUTTER STREET
This earthy spa is all about nuances. The products here are by Erb, a Thai herbal brand, and the aromatic oils’ qualities and strengths are explained at length. The Body Bliss Relaxant oil, with black pepper and cinnamon, is meant to relax muscles and re-shift focus and might be a good option when going for the Happy Hour 20 percent discount, Monday through Wednesday between 11am to 4pm.

La Belle Day Spa
233 GRANT AVENUE
The Union Square spa offers a pricier, but potentially happier take on happy hour: a “Ladies Night” promotion, suited for an afternoon of bonding with co workers. The $175 price includes drinks and appetizers for up to six people and two spa treatments per person. The happy hour package can be booked at any time with spa pedicure, a salt scrub body treatment, a 45-minute massage, a facial or shampoo treatments.

M Spa Castro
2187 MARKET STREET
This Castro-based spa offers a straightforward deal: a 15 percent discount for all massage and facials on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 11am to 1pm. The M Spa Signature Facial or the Thai Yoga Massage are both very relaxing with just a hint of spiritual enlightenment—aromatherapy and breathing techniques are involved.

Eye Candy SF
1506 VALLEJO STREET
Tracy Chavez, the owner of Eye Candy, knows all about happy hour. The service list consists of fast and inexpensive eyebrows and lashes fixes that can be easily squeezed into a lunch break. Brow design is $45 and the $80 “Guy Candy” options ensure the hour is also happy for male customers. Quick pre-party make up and hair options are also available.
