WHETHER IT BE A LOVE CONNECTION, TWO FRIENDS SHARING SOME MAT TIME, OR AN OPPORTUNITY TO MEET SOMEONE NEW, COME DO SOMETHING FUN & DIFFERENT PRE-VALENTINE'S DAY AND SUPPORT A GOOD CAUSE!
On Saturday February 11th there will be two 75 minute partner yoga class led by by Purusha Yoga Master Teachers Lucia Young, Aiyisha Castillo, Suzanne Byron, and Joey Carpenter.* Partner yoga can provide a fresh perspective to your weekly mat time. Whether you are practicing with your honey, your best friend or a new acquaintance, working with another person helps you change preconceptions about what you can or can’t do. This class is open to all levels of ability and will include easy to follow flow and partner poses, ending with restorative and meditative time to nourish your hearts karma and dharma for abundance of love. The classes are only the beginning of the evening!
Also from 4-7 Purusha teacher Tyler Anderson will be leading several workshops on creating natural herbal and botanical massage oils. Learn some new, interesting skills and have the opportunity to take your creation home to put it to use!
The class will be followed by an open bar, live auction, hors d'oeuvres and a raffle. Raffle items will include Thai massage, private one on one yoga classes, amazing gift certificates to local businesses and much more.
At 8:00pm, talented singer/songwriter Amal Bisharat and band will perform an acoustic set featuring her own spin on some classic love songs and new favorites by Adele, Elton John, The Cure, Bob Dylan, Billy Ocean, The XX, Journey and more!
All proceeds from this event will go the Purusha Seva Project a non-profit 501c-3 organization that provides yoga, health, and movement to underserved populations throughout San Francisco. The project also offers a vehicle for yogis to practice seva (selfless giving) and shala (study) all over the world through their Seva Retreats program. In 2016 the Project took a group to Nepal. This event will also help support local programs providing yoga and yoga therapy to underserved populations in the SF area.
