The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk continues their summer concert series with the legendary band, WAR. War was founded in 1969 in California, rising to prominence in the 1970's for such classic hits as "Low Rider", "Spill the Wine", "The Cisco Kid", "The World is a Ghetto", and "Why Can't We Be Friends?". The band's sound has won a diverse fan base due to their wide ranging sound, incorporating elements of rock, funk, jazz, Latin, rhythm and blues, and reggae.
