In partnership with the Ferry Building, La Cocina, a nonprofit working to solve problems of equity in business ownership for women, immigrants and people of color, will be at the Ferry Building every third Friday of the month this Summer now through September from 3 PM-6 PM at the back plaza of the Ferry Building. Each third Friday, visitors can expect La Cocina businesses, live music, mural paintings and promos/specials from some of the Ferry Building businesses facing the area + drink specials!
Friday, June 17, will feature La Cocina businesses Mi Morena SF and East Oakland Smoke/Mexi Q. The event will also include live entertainment by Hip Hop/Funk band The Gemstones and RPS Collective, an arts and community Oakland based non-profit group for an interactive mural painting.
