The 13th Annual Irish-American Crossroads Festival presents
CONNECTING CELTIC ROOTS: From Irish Traditional To American Roots Music with Eileen Ivers & Her Band
Don’t miss the event of the season! Join us for an electrifying night with Eileen Ivers and her band. Ivers, who has been called “the Jimmy Hendrix of the violin” (New York Times), is a Grammy award-winning artist who “suggests the future of the Celtic fiddle” (Washington Post) while illuminating the influences of the Celtic tradition on roots music, bluegrass, Cajun, Appalachian and American country music traditions.
“Her playing is tradition-rich yet adventurous, spiced with world, jazz and pop,” says The Boston Globe. A former member of Cherish the Ladies, Ivers was also the musical star of Riverdance. She has also performed with Sting, Patti Smith, Hall & Oates, and symphonies, as well as for presidents and royalty, worldwide.
