Call and Response: Brenda Hutchinson
The Emerald Tablet is thrilled to host an experiment in arts and lectures, combining performance and presentation in the form of Call and Response.
The evening will begin with a presentation by composer and sound artist Brenda Hutchinson, who will discuss some of her work in direct public engagement, including an interactive performance with the audience. After her talk there will be a Q&A, followed by a break. Then, the Johnston/Dutton/Rankin-Parker/Pearce Quartet will play a set of improvisational music inspired by Hutchinson’s presentation and the ensuing discussion.
