Bust out of the hive this New Year’s Eve for BUZZ, an epic performance art experience conceived entirely by artists to benefit The Lab – San Francisco’s center of radical art and culture! BUZZ is sure to give your dystopian visions a renewed sense of purpose.
Alongside elaborate costumes, subversive beauty, and an ensemble of SF's most fabulous characters, BUZZ brings you the requisite hedonism of an open bar and dancing until 3am. Far from your typical end-of-the-world blowout, this is will be like partying in a nuclear fallout shelter while watching a Jerry Lewis Telethon… with Peaches Christ!
That’s right, filmmaker and cult leader Peaches Christ will be our Mistress of Ceremonies for a transportive journey into a parallel dimension, where giant insects have inherited the earth and the airwaves are haunted by scrambled re-runs and long forgotten media broadcasts. Guests will enjoy an evening of artist-designed environments, theatrical activations, and performances by some of the Bay Area’s most prodigious talent, including:
Skin
AH MER AH SU
Pseuda
Krim
Vainhein
Saturn Rising
And none other than the “drag terrorist” herself, CHRISTEENE!
Hosted by Peaches Christ
Late-night beats courtesy of DJ Haram (Discwoman).
General admission tickets are $85 and include a 5-hour open bar, snacks, and an all-access pass to the evening’s performances, artistic offerings, and late-night dance party.
Attire: Flamboyant / Dystopic.
All proceeds from BUZZ directly support The Lab’s residency program, providing artists with a living wage and the resources to continue radical practices. Each ticket sold is partially tax-deductible and helps to keep San Francisco strange, exciting, and artistically engaged!
BUZZ is 21+. The Lab is wheelchair accessible and is located 1/2 block from the 16th and Mission BART station.
Tune in, turn up, and get BUZZ’d at The Lab on New Year’s Eve 2017!
